About Cadence Maps
Cadence Maps is the product of a Bachelor's thesis project at OST - Eastern Switzerland University of Applied Sciences. The goal was to create a streamlined solution for making OpenStreetMap data more accessible and analysis-ready.
We've developed a robust pipeline that processes raw OSM data and serves it in the efficient GeoParquet format, specifically optimized for geospatial analytics.
Our implementation is fully compatible with the OvertureMaps schema, ensuring interoperability with a growing ecosystem of geospatial tools and services.
Developed by Matthias Hersche, Nils-Robin Grob, and Fadil Smajilbasic as part of our Bachelor's thesis (spring 2025) at OST.
